There is no place to hide. There is no excuse to hide. My finger points far too much and my shoulders recieve far too little. Rome amazed me, inspired me, angered and stunned me however ultimately broke my heart.

I injected myself into the bloodstream of Manchester. A city that takes a collective responsibility. I felt a weight of history not so far in the distance, one that was easy to grasp and recognise. So much love and extra special care. Manchester has a huge amount of pride. She takes care of her own with a jealous love. She moves forward with boldness. Industry, Fashion, Art, Football. She moves forward without fear.
I went to hear Oceansize play and instead I heard Manchester sing.

CRM was asked to submit a design for these magnificient buildings, then after completing it, was told he had a greatly reduced budget, however they would like him to finish the job in a few years so……if its ok with him, could he build half or 3/4 of it now, and make it feel like a whole bulding, but come back a few years later and finish it? Amazingly he agreed. Amazingly he did it!

It’s not about money. Irony, “I always though it was”
It’s about the in between times. The moments that the pound of flesh isnt being weighed. Quality of life surely refers to life and not work, or for that matter paying the bills. Life. What happens outside of work. For some life IS work, they love their job, their work. For others it’s more complicated. For others still, work happens but life, life is the headline act.
My life, I cherish. It’s fragile and the most valuable treasure i have.
